Meanwhile, Trump announcement of a 35% tariff on Canadian imports rattled markets, raising fears of a new trade war escalation. Yet analysts note “tariff fatigue” among investors, with many discounting the immediate impact of Trump’s tweets and tariff threats, focusing instead on broader market fundamentals.
Bitcoin smashed past $113,000, hitting an all-time high as risk assets surge ahead of the upcoming U.S. Congress crypto week on July 14, where significant regulatory decisions are expected.
Oil prices rose 0.5%, and gold prices followed suit, as geopolitical tensions and trade concerns continue to drive safe-haven demand.
