AppLovin ($APP). A staggering 75 unusual options trades were detected, with a dominant $5.2 million skewed toward call contracts. That’s nearly four times the value of the puts traded, suggesting a strong undercurrent of bullish sentiment from the smart money. Though the stock has pulled back from recent highs, this kind of aggressive accumulation in the options market could point to expectations of a reversal or a forthcoming news catalyst. With $APP trending sideways and sitting at a comfortable distance from its 52-week low, it's a name to watch closely.

Boeing ($BA) also saw a meaningful uptick in options activity, with a clean 50/50 split between bullish and bearish sentiment among whales. That said, the trend is decisively up, and the stock is already breaking above key moving averages. This type of balance in sentiment—along with a recent uptick in volume—suggests traders are positioning for volatility, possibly tied to new contract wins, deliveries, or macro defense headlines.

Palantir ($PLTR) is no stranger to volatility, but the recent wave of activity paints a more cautious picture. Whales favored puts over calls, despite the stock being in a defined uptrend and outperforming many in the AI space. Given the elevated P/E and rich valuation, it’s possible some investors are hedging after the big run-up. Still, for short-term traders, the momentum and heavy institutional attention can’t be ignored.

D-Wave Quantum ($QBTS), which might be the most intriguing name on the board. A total of 64 trades were flagged as unusual, with a significant lean toward puts—51 trades worth over $2.1 million. This bearish tilt stands out, especially since the stock has been red-hot recently, climbing more than 6% on Friday. When whales bet heavily against a stock that’s spiking, it can signal one of two things: a top is forming—or someone knows something the rest of the market doesn’t. Either way, volatility is practically guaranteed.

Other notable mentions include Pinterest ($PINS) with a heavy bullish skew and $649K worth of calls, and Rocket Lab ($RKLB), which saw 16 bullish trades despite a sharp decline on Friday. And while Pfizer ($PFE) and NextEra Energy ($NEE) both logged options activity, the market’s overall tone toward these names remains muted, with bearish leanings and technicals that reflect ongoing weakness.
