The short interest landscape has seen some notable shifts across several names today, and traders would do well to pay attention. Starting with $AR, Antero Resources caught the eye with a sharp 54.62% spike in short interest. That kind of surge suggests bears are digging in, perhaps betting on downside despite the stock’s nearly 2% rally on the day.

$DT also stood out with a hefty 22.91% increase in short float. The rise in short bets coupled with Dynatrace’s 0.71% dip hints at growing skepticism around its near-term strength. Similarly, $FHB and $PRVA reported upticks of 14.56% and 6.73% respectively—signs that pressure is building from the short side as their volumes expand beyond average levels.

On the other hand, $MET saw a meaningful 12.98% drop in short interest, potentially signaling covering activity or shifting sentiment. Meanwhile, $AIT and $COST also experienced slight pullbacks in their short float percentages, down 5.52% and 3.12% respectively. For names like $COST, a high-priced, fundamentally strong name, reduced bearish bets may reflect growing market confidence.

$SNOW and $SUI both reported short interest increases of over 5%, a level worth noting especially as Snowflake’s trading volume continues to outpace its average. $AFG and $QTWO followed a similar trend with a 3.98% and 6.32% rise, indicating growing tension beneath the surface.
